Community Guidelines

These rules are enforced, not decorative. Every campaign is reviewed against them before going live, and every comment and message carries a report button.
Awaaz exists for lawful civic expression. Nothing here may promote unlawful activity.
Zero tolerance. This is an instant removal and possible ban.
Attack problems and policies, never communities or individuals' dignity.
Never share anyone's private information — addresses, phone numbers, IDs.
Factual claims about identifiable people need credible cited sources. Say “We demand accountability from…”, not unverified accusations.
Of people, organisations, or officials. One account per person.
No bot votes, brigading, or engagement farming. Voting is phone-verified and rate-limited.
Including court orders and directions of appropriate authorities.
Enforcement
Violations escalate: warning → mute → ban. Illegal content is removed and reported as required by law. Appeals go to the Grievance Officer via /contact — acknowledged within 24 hours, resolved within 15 days.
